Advocates & Legal Consultants

Justice should not depend
on the size of your wallet.
Fiat justitia ruat caelum
We accept a limited number of pro bono cases each year — taking on legal matters for individuals who genuinely cannot afford representation, but whose cause is just and whose need is real.

Every advocate, when they take their oath, accepts a duty that goes beyond the fee schedule. Some matters demand to be heard whether the petitioner can pay or not. This is our small contribution to that older idea of the law.

WHO WE HELP
We're honest about
who qualifies — and who doesn't.
Pro bono work is limited because we can only take a small number of cases each year. Being clear upfront helps everyone.
This sounds like you
YOU MAY QUALIFY IF
Your monthly income is under Rs. 20,000
You're a senior citizen, person with disability, or sole earner
You're a survivor of Domestic Violence or abuse
You're a student or unemployes and facing genuine legal trouble
You've been wrong but cannot afford a Private lawyer
You're a non-profit or charity in need of legal assistance
This isn't a fit
✗ PRO BONO IS'NT FOR
✗ Businesses or commercial disputes (we have paid services for these)
✗ Matters where you've already engaged a lawyer
✗ People who can afford fees but prefer not to pay
✗ Matters with no realistic legal merit
✗ Frivolous, vexatious, or vendetta-driven cases
✗ Cases requiring resources beyond what one advocate can give

MATTERS WE TAKE PRO BONO
Cases where the Law itself is meant to protect.
We focus pro bono effort where the law is on the petitioner's side, but financial barriers are keeping them from accessing it.
(i)
Domestic Violence
Protection orders under the DV Act, 2005 — for women and children facing abuse with no means to engage a lawyer privately.
(iii)
Senior Citizen Rights
Cases under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 — for elderly individuals abandoned or mistreated.
(v)
Acid Attack Survivors
Pro bono representation for survivors of violent crime navigating compensation claims and criminal proceedings.
(ii)
Maintenance & Custody
Maintenance petitions for abandoned spouses or children, and custody matters where one parent is being denied access.
(iv)
Wage & Worker Disputes
Unpaid wages, wrongful dismissal, and basic labour law violations for workers and domestic helpers without resources.
(vi)
Non-Profit Legal Aid
Free legal advice and basic compliance support for registered NGOs, charitable trusts, and grassroots organizations.

THINGS WE WANT YOU TO KNOW
Some honest notes
about pro bono work.
Better to be clear now than to disappoint later.
i
We can't accept every case. We receive more applications than we can take. A "no" doesn't mean your matter isn't important — it usually means we don't have the capacity to do it justice. We try to refer to legal aid services where possible.
ii
Court fees are not the same as lawyer fees. Even in pro bono matters, you may need to pay government court filing fees, stamp duty, and similar statutory charges. We'll tell you upfront what these will be — and we help apply for fee waivers when you qualify.
iii
Pro bono doesn't mean second-class service. If we take your case, you get the same care, same WhatsApp access, same hearings attended, as our paying clients. We don't believe in tiered effort. But we do work on a smaller number of pro bono cases at a time, so timelines may be a little longer for non-urgent matters.
iv
Legal aid options exist alongside us. Delhi has Legal Services Authorities (DSLSA, DLSAs) that provide free lawyers to qualifying applicants. Their lawyers are experienced and the service is government-backed. We'll point you there if it's a better fit for your matter.
v
Confidentiality is identical. The fact that you're a pro bono client is not disclosed to anyone — not in court filings, not in conversations, nowhere. To everyone outside our office, you're simply our client.
